
Dr. Hawkins Mecham, DO

Dr. Hawkins Mecham grew up in Cedar Hills, Utah hiking in the mountains and helping raise animals on his family’s small farm. After working several years in the construction industry, he attended undergraduate at Utah Valley University where he received a B.S. in Biology, with a focus on Anatomy and Mammalogy.
Dr. Mecham went on to obtain his medical degree from Des Moines University – College of Osteopathic Medicine. There, Dr. Mecham had the opportunity to be a teaching assistant for the Osteopathic Manual Therapy (OMT) course where he assisted students on proper technique and utilization of OMT as an adjunct or alternative treatment option. Dr. Mecham completed his internship at Eastern Niagara Hospital in Lockport, NY and then spent a year as a faculty member at Rocky Vista University of Osteopathic Medicine in Southern Utah, during which time he co-founded Moon Cycle Medicine Inc. along with Dr. Luhrs.

Dr. Hawkins Mecham is now completing his residency at A.T. Still University in Kirskville, Missouri. He is the current Vice President of Moon Cycle Medicine Inc.
